06_12_08: June 12, 2008 - In the courtyard at East Pyne Hall on the Princeton campus. The guide told us that, in the early days of Princeton, students would pile snow up in the entrance to the courtyard and spray water to freeze the snow in place. That way, students could only leave the dorm by exiting their dorm windows. This must have been WAY before global warming!
